  • Brake lights

I know this is getting away from the engine, but I have know were else to go.
anyway the brake lights all of them are not working on my 02 grand prix. even the window light. This made me think that the switch at the brake pedal was bad, it checked out ok,so I jumped the wires to the brake pedel and no lights the bulb looks good. ABS light is on constantly no flashing, is there a fuse for these if so were, The main power box on the right shock tower says nothing for brakes. any and all help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Have you checked for a fuse block inside the vehicle as well?

Thanks bszopi, I looked on grand prix fax and found there was a in cab fuse block, leave it to the old and infirm to overlook the obvious. Well the good thing was it wasn't there at all the fuse that is, I bought the car at auction and its had a few strange things like this, I really do like the enginering of these newer cars, this is my first since 93, so after a valve job and a couple of little things, like the brake lights, I can say well done general motors.

Yeah, the 97-03 Grand Prix doesn't have a fuse box that's real nicely located. Take the panel off on the right hand side of the glove box. They're all crammed in there, and not easy to get to either.
