as long as you do a full flush it'll be fine.

you could use the yellow stuff and not have to worry at all...

I like the Prestone all make all model stuff. I have used it for 6 or 7 years now (used to be just regular Prestone) and my rad was spick and span. I replaced it a month or so ago because a plastic tank had split.

My car has never seen anything but the good ole green stuff. Sure you gotta change it every now and then to prevent corrosion, but no worries about it clogging up. The new all makes and models stuff has some of the same OAT type stuff as the dexcool stuff has. May not be exact but similar. I don't trust it either way.

I flushed mine out real good (ran straight water for a while with some super flush in it) however I did indeed refill with actual Dexcool. I know some people have had issues with it, however I have not...

My car had the yellow stuff in it when I drained it, damn it was nasty. Smelled like someone took a piss in my radiator instead of filling it with antifreeze.

I dont like dexcool either. I made the mistake of putting it into my Jeep, without looking first. and orange+green=clay. I had the enjoyment of replacing a water pump for my stupidity. And although I have read the article on this site about mixing them, DONT. my brother works at a GM dealer garage and he told me the same thing....after calling me stupid.

Personally, I prefer G-05. Works great for Ford and Mopar... and more importantly- John Deere reccomends it for all their equipment. It's a "hybrid" coolant with both silicate and OAT additives. Best of all, it isn't Dexcool. The stuff is a bit hard to come by. The only reliable sources that I'm aware of are Ford & Mopar dealers, John Deere dealers, and Pep Boys stores. I'm sure it's sold elsewhere... I've just never run across it.
