Well, I have not noticed any leaks externally neither is there any coolant in the oil or vice versa so that eliminates intake/head gaskets. Also, I have a miss on one cylinder just off idle to around 2K rpm and then it goes away. FWIW, it doesn't do anything of the sort while it's under a load/driving, only when in N or P. Any suggestions to either? I was thinking maybe a cam or crank position sensor on its way out......

As for the miss that goes away under load, when it happened to my car it was a bad wire and loading the engine for example under accleleration caused the engine to rotate moving the wire further away from the source it was grounding on returning proper ignition to the plug. It was very consistent, it would only skip during idle and light load, on acclerartion it would fire on all 6 cylinders.
In your case I would be concerned having a skip with coolant loss on an engine known to have problems with gaskets even if you don't see anything in the oil.
I don't know these systems very well but I thought a cam sensor failure would allow the system to run off batch fire. I resently dealt with a bad crank sensor and apparently a bad coil pack however they didn't perform in the manner that your engine is running. The CPS either worked or it didn't and the skip associated with the coil was always there.

It's not a big leak by any means. It took like 2-3 weeks for it to go low. But I noticed it when I turn on the heater after engine temp is up that it takes a while for it to blow hot. Now that the level is up, it blows hot as soon as it gets hot. I took a UV light and looked @ the back and I haven't seen any signs of a leak. The radiator looks to be in good condition over all anyways. I am kinda getting suspicious of the coolant maybe seeping past the LIM gaskets. Hope that's not the case...................

Well, today was the fatal day for me. Intake Manifold gaskets let go. Happened on my way to work I think. My heater was blowing cold air again. Got to work and checked coolant level, tank was empty. Popped the oil fill cap off and it was yellow on the bottom. Damn.....another GM design flaw victim. I hate the fact that this particular design has had these problems for so many years and GM never did anything about it to fix it until they redesigned the damn engine.......cheap asses.......
So, looks like I get to do my first intake manifold gasket swap on my car.......yuk!!
