  • um the beretta does nothing!!!

ok, so today after work i go start the beretta, my friend pulles up in front of me so i go talk to him for a while and let the car idle. he leaves so i go get in my car and back up. the car dies on me! so i turn the key to start her back up, nothing happens. my lights are still on and bright, but when i turn the key i get no dash lights, or gauge movement, engine doesnt try and turn over or anything. i try tightning the battery down more thinking that may be the problem, but no... my radio doesnt work, no power windows, no power locks (i can hear a relay clicking though). i checked my ecu to make sure it was pluged in all the way, checked fuses, looked over the engine bay... everything looks fine!

i have no idea what else to check, im clueless!

    Check your ground wires.

Maybe a fus-able link...I don't have Shop Service Manual...but these fus-able links are embedded here and there....Also, maybe your key-switch or a main relay shot craps.

I'd have to see wiring schematic...to trouble shoot

I have a 88 Berretta (of two weeks now), but we're cutting soybeans now...so I am busy with farm chores...but, they use to put fuse-able links right at the starter motor also.

I don't know if GM did this with later vehicles or not.

In any event, all power starts at the STARTER....so trace it from there...

I would second the ground wires... or hell even the main power lead going to the starter.
