  • Engine codes....help

Well I recently had my '96 gp 3100 replaced with a '96 3100 from a grand am, which i dont think matters. After the swap I pulled these codes:

P0118: Engine Coolant Temp. Circuit High
    P0341: Camshaft Pos. Sensor Performance

Now Ive replaced both sensors looking for the quick fix and didnt get it. I was thinking for the CTS that maybe there was a bad ground somewhere....but i would have no clue where to start looking for that.

As for the CPS, ive heard that many times it could be related to an ignition problem, like coils/wires/plugs and the like. Not too sure if thats true or not, Ive just heard it. Im hoping its not a wiring issue itself b/c that would be a PIA and im pretty sure all the wires were intact when the new engine was put in. There were no codes on my old engine. One of my "mechanic" friends suggested putting in a new ECM. Any suggestions where to start? all help is appreciated
