Sounds like a vacuum leak. The spring on the throttle should take one revolution to wind. That's all. So if you have tension on it, you should be good.

That could effect the idle depending on how bad it is bent but I don't know if it would cause it to die. It is posible because it could be letting more air through the MAF than what should be going through. This could cause the computer to hunt for the correct idle RPM. Also make sure you have the TPS hooked up and it is on correct. Someone who knows these computers better than me can hopefully shed a little more light on this. I have read other threads about idle relearn but have no idea if that would apply here. I had no problems with idle once I put the 3100 injectors in.
If you have checked for any posible vacuum leaks you may have to look a little closer for something like that. Keep in mind you could have a vacuum leak around your fuel injectors or the upper intake could have a damaged gasket. Sometimes you can hold a hose(like 5/8 coolant hose) up to your ear and search/listen around the motor with the other end for leaks. This can make it easier to pin point where a leak is coming from.

I drove it home.. lovin the speed... but still being carefull... hehe
at this point time i have 2 issues.
1. I need the egr valve bracket ..
2. and my idle is too high.. the set screw is in the all the way in. we are looking into shaving some of that off so that we can bring it in more..

The idle screw isn't for idle, just stops the plate from wedging in the bore....
You must have a vacuum leak somewhere.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

Not sure how you blocked this off but you could be blowing exhaust strait into the intake all the time if you just put a plate across the top of the opening. You need to make sure the exhaust side can not blow into the intake side. Are you sure you don't have a leak were the EGR valve goes?
Also, maybe someone else could help you/me with this but could the computer be looking for the EGR valve and because it is not there could that be a problem? Would it help to hook up the EGR valve to the harness and just tie it off to the side till he gets the adapter?

Having the EGR completely removed from the engine (and the passage properly blocked off) will not cause any idle issues. My EGR has been sitting in a box in the basement for over 4 years now, and all I get is an occasional SES light.-Brad-

Your knowledge is unfathomable ...
Ok so the "throttle screw" is not for throttle.. funny..
okay then..
the so if i take off the air tube i should see the butterfly sitting nice and snug in there..
and as for the vacum leak.. can't find any..
I have the egr area on the plenum blocked off with a piece of aluminum and a BIG ASS bolt in the hose the house that came out of the exhaust...
so no it is not blowing back into the plenum...

Yes that's just the throttle plate stop screw. It stops the throttle from closing too much and causing the plate to stick and wedge in the bore. The computer adjust the idle with the IAC motor.
BTW the store here has EGR adapters in stock now.
What did you seal the EGR plenum hole up with? Just bare aluminum? Use a gasket or some RTV if you haven't... Hmmm Do you have a spare IAC to swap out into the TB? You should from the 3400 or your old one. Maybe it's bad and is stuck open?sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

IAC : http://wiki.60degreev6.com/index.php...alve_.28IAC.29
As far as the SSL cert, please don't bring that up. When we first transferred over to the new server, we bought an SSL cert for the store and could never to get it working properly. We even had the hosting company look at it with no luck. I thought Ben had finally figured it out, but maybe not?-Brad-
