i have a bad egr valve gasket like i can see the gasket hanging out will this cause probs? would it make for bad or high idle ? my car is idleing at 1000 rpm, would it hurt mpg?

Hanging out? Unbolt the egr and take a look at the gasket. Stock there is a bit that hangs out.sigpic
