TBI's never siese to amaze me. They run under the harshest conditions. That why they were hard to kill in the truck world. They dont bitch like MPFI and SFI systems do. Someone once ran it with NO MAP SENSOR.

My dad has a 88 S10, 4.3L TBI 4-speed OD, has 194,366mi and it will still pull straight to redline(5000), and shift hard into 2nd(with a squeal!). That truck is bullet proof. Has never had a problem with engine, 4wd, or tranny and has been beaten, getting driven to 4000 before shifts and getting new oil every 5000mi
