exhaust size

anyone know the exhaust size on our cars, its a 91 with dual exhaust, i need a new muffler and was wondering the size.

I dunno. On the 3.4 it was 2.5 split into dual 2.25s

2.5 I believe on single exhaust, infact pretty sure.


To be sure buy a 2.5 exhaust clamp and a 2.25 clamp and see which one fits. Which ever one don't bring back to the part store .

3.4 the down pipe is 2.5 before the catalyst connect(2 1/4 catalyst),

3.1/3100(3100 has an exterior air cavety pipe) the down pipe is 2inches.

Late '90-92 3.1 used 2 1/4 catalyst and pipe to the y. '93 used a 2 inch catalyst and pipe to the y. Might've carried on to '94+. Base exhaust option pipe work is 2 inchs all the way. '94+ had a resonator by the gastank on the passenger side all modles.

3.4 '91 used 2 1/4 catalyst and pipe plus resonator just after catalyst. 3.4 '92+ used 2 1/4 catalyst and pipe plus resonator at the passenger side of gastank.

All pipes after the y and tail pipes are 2 inch.


So for a perfect fit you'll want a 2 inch muffler.
