    I have to get some tomorrow as well. They are over $2 each if you go by the ac delco number. I think napa was $1 each or something like that for them. I will let you know tomorrow.

    rockauto.com head dowel pin search will give you the ac delco number.

      thanks, the machine shop removed them when i had the block bored and honed and when i put the engine back together it poured coolant into the engine.

        It poured coolant into the crankcase or cylinders? I didn't know it could get that far out of alignment without them.

          both, yeah it was like 2mm out of alignment because of the clearance for the bolts to go thru the gasket and then compress.

            Napa doesn't carry them anymore, and their books dont list anything but iron head engines.

              It could have kept the gasket from lining up square. The bolt holes in the gasket would allow for a decent amount of movement.
              I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

                I bet the LIM gasket doesn't seal very well with the heads out of position.
