'00 Grand Prix SE 3100
Well, I just blew either a head gasket or intake gasket. I had coolant leaking down the side of my block onto the starter and I can't really tell where it's coming from other than a wet/steaming are running along the bottom of the head driver's side of the front head from the area of the thermostat over. However, there is the milkshake in the bottom of the pcv valve (only place I've found it in the oil thus far) and oil on the radiator cap. It's been leaking a decent bit of coolant as well.
Will a compression test 100% rule out a blown head gasket? Any other tests I can conduct?
If I decide to keep it (I'm looking for a TGP setup in the B/S/T forum to boost it if I do), what should I change or keep while the top end is torn down? At the least, I'll have the heads checked and machined at the engine shop. The intake gasket went once before about 30k miles ago.
