    for sure they do - although, someone correct me if I'm wrong here. . . I think the rear mains on the gen II 60* blocks were a dual-lip design; meaning the inside of the seal that contacts the crank had 2 sealing lips on it . . . if so, REPLACE IT WITH ONE THAT HAS 2 SEALING LIPS!! I cannot stress that enough! Going with a seal that only has 1 sealing lip will guarantee an oil leak before your first oil change!

      you all are a wealth of information! thank you for sharing with me(and anybody else in a similar situation). i can see a plan coming together now for exploring this 3.4's health. hopefully, when it 'coughs', i won't feel anything weird. thank you again.
