Hey all
I'm nearly finished swapping in (another) 3.1 block into an 86 Fiero GT. I used the timing cover that was on the original 3.1, which was on the Fiero 2.8 before that. On the back of this timing cover, just above the hose clamp on the oil filter side is a hole about the size of a #2 pencil. When I fill the water, it pours right back on the ground through this hole. Is it some kind of weep hole? I'd just fill it with JB Weld, but I'm concerned it may be a port for water jacket flow. Anyone have any ideas what it's about?
Thanks much
