  • Can't get rid of the code 13

Put in a new Bosch o2, spark plugs, and double checked the timing today. Been running the AC delco for the last 2 weeks with the wire crimped in one spot where I spliced extra wire in and then took it out. The Bosch seemed to reach easier than the other one.

Anyway, Friday the SES light came on for a minute (first time in about 2 weeks, 13). Tonight while driving for about an hour after changing all that stuff the SES came on 3 times. Code 13 again (Oxygen sensor signal stays lean during warm engine cruise)

Fuel pressure is holding now after putting in that different fuel rail. Temp sender is new.

Can anyone think of anything I might be missing that will cause this. I'm thinking I might take it to the Pontiac service center, have them hook it up to the scanner and see what they make of it.

Fuel mileage isn't that great either. It's gotten slightly better in the last month, but still isn't right.

I'm running out of ideas, other than hitting it and yelling at it.

Check the crimp for corrosion. It could be dirty injectors as well but hopefully its something as simple as soldering a wire.

      did u try a heated o2 sensor yet ?

if the sensor isnt staying hot enough u will end up poisioning the sensor.i had this problem when i did my turbo install and relocated the sensor further down stream then the stock location.i went threw about 3 1 wire sensors before i finally relized what was happening.once i threw in a heated o2 i never had any problems with it.if u change the o2 again be sure to reset the ecm as well

The injectors are new from summit and the o2 wire is no longer crimped. I soldered the other one I had on there for the last couple weeks, but I'm leaving the bosch in there for now. I drove a lot today and the light never came on once which amazed me.

I'll top off the tank again tomorrow and see what happens over the next few days.
