which years of 3.1 will firt in my 1998 olds achieva 3.1

i would like to put a new version of the 3.1 in my 98 olds achieva 3.1 does anyone know which years will fit without a lot of modifications

New version I take it you mean large port. Then you need 2000+. You will need to swap the UIM with a 3400 pre-2000 if you want to re-use your EGR. I think the new style 2000+ EGR will connect with your stock EGR connector though, if you want to use the new style and not replace the UIM. Check www.3400swap.com for more info.
