Anybody ever do this ? The only thing that really interests me about the 3400 swap is the increased torque. Couldn't I just get a low mile 3400 , use my existing (VIN M) top end and avoid the egr problem etc. ? What about compression ? Cam duration ?
Are the two crank sensors and the cam sensor in the same places on a 3400 block ? This seems to me to be a bit easier than monkeying with egr adapters and what not. Opinions ?
The VIN M 3100 heads flow well enough for "normal" RPM range with a 3400 don't they ? Would I need to do any tuning (can't do it myself) ?
Thanks,
Mike
