  • Instrument cluster

My 1999 Lumina has the standard guage cluster with no tach. I have a tach, but am unsure where the signal wire AT THE PCM is. If I can be informed to where it is, then that's be OK. Otherwise, can I just get another cluster from a salvage yard with a tach and use that? I see listings on www.car-part.com for 3100 with tach, or 3800 with tach, police package...what's a police package? Sounds cool. But, really, what options do I have for alternative clusters? Or, where is the RPM signal wire at the PCM? Thanks.

Based on this diagram, would I be looking at pin 9 for an aftermarket tach?

      Re: Instrument cluster

don't know how to hook up an aftermarket tach but i think just a JY cluster with tach plugs in and works perfect.

the police package has a digital speedo, it takes a lot of work and a few extra parts to make it work
