  • Most power from a 3X00

Well after hearing about the most power out of a DOHC engine it made me start thinking about the push rod motors. I am mostly intrested in the 3400 and know that there are a few people running turbo on them, but any push rod 60* pushing some good number can be added.

If you can put up a dyno sheet with the power you put down, or a link to where you have it posted.

A small list of what is done to the engine and what it is in.

Here is one I know of:
    It is turboz24's 3.1L
MAX power; 310 hp MAX torque; 289 ft-lbs

I know he is pushing more boost but no dyno yet.

    Here is a turbo'd 3400

    Its is 89jyturbo
It put 328.8HP and 352.7Tq to the front wheels. The HP peaked at the very end of the pull, 5300rpm (it was still climbing a little, but you could tell it was about done). The torque peaked very flat, the peak was between 4300 and 4800rpm.

lots of people have powerfull pushrod motors. many people just dont have access to a dyno to get the numbers.

i have a rather built up 2.8l ironhead. i currently need to do a bunch of tuning, but last year i managed a mid 15, this year heading for 14s. i personaly dont beleive in dyno numbers, they realy dont prove a lot. i perfer seeing what a car will do on a track, as thats all that matters in the real world.
