yah u asked me the # of the retainers u used that didnt fit and they were 788-12 for the beehive springs and was just wondering if you had a diff # for them. i took mine back, but i really want the titanium retainers and i get a big discount from comp, so i was still looking for some.

Ok, i don't get it...
LS1
1.7" 106#
1.3" 177#
Coil Bind 1.290
that means safe lift is .410 with those springs.. when stock 3400 lift is .430.
Has anyone ran higher lift on the LS1 springs?

2.8 & 3.4 Crate Spring Rates ???
Hi , mayby a bit off topic but was curious if anyone knows what a stock 88 2.8 HO spring is rated at , and the same for the GM 3.4 Crate engine spring, My cam will only have a max lift of .456 inch so would the 3.4 crate springs be a good choice ? Thanks Bill..

The pressure and coil bind numbers aren't right. I wish this thread would die honestly. Those measurements were for what scott at the machine shop here felt was a good max lift. They are not true coil bind. .53x has been used on the LS6 springs, though I prefer to see .52x max personally and use the comp 26986 springs for higher lift or machine the heads to increase the install height to 1.75"Ben

we're looking at running around .470 lift. Install height is 1.682.
