  • US Location and Oil range used??

I just wanted to find out what types of oil people use in their 3100/3400 engines.

I live in Mississippi and this oil change used 20w-50 in my 3100.

I used to run 15w-50 back in AR...but then again that was a chevy with cast iron block and heads I am noticing more engine noise now... time for a change Im afraid.

20w-50? Holy crap... I use the recommended 5W-30, and sometimes 10W-30. The car has lived (I guess you can say that) in Oklahoma, South Carolina, Maine, Connecticut, Kansas and Arkansas while I have owned it. Just passed 10 years in April...

Ouch 20W50 is too thick. No harm will really come of it but I would be using 5W30 (synthetic or normal) like you should be.
