well still no word from the shop last time I talked to him was last friday and he told me tues or wed. so hopefully today. I'm hoping he doesn't say some shit like "maybe friday" i kinda feel like I'm stuck with this dude cuz he got it open already. he was able to tell me that the torque converter looked likwe it completly exploded, so would that mean I may not need a rebuild? I'm hoping someone with tranny experience could clear this up seeing that I'm not able to get an exact price from him
I wish 10% of the people on the road knew how to drive
well 3300 was the damage. it does feel really strong now, but then again I've been driving a toyota for the past 2 weeks. I'm not really trippin on the price cuz it's all tax deductable.

sorry i dint get on to see the other posts. i would have stopped at the torque convertor for $$$ sake, but still, an underlying problem in the case may have lead to its failure. so you probably ended up better off on the long run. 3300 sounds like you got raped, but like you said, your sort of at their mercy if its already open. they'll still charge for labor of taking out, apart, andputting it back together and in for it to go somwhere else for the same crap and to be charged all over again. line jumping isnt a sport for good reason.
