anyone knows the real gas mileage of a citation 2.8L fuel injected

Are you talking city or highway mileage? I have an '81 Citation X-11 with a carb'd 2.8 4 speed that has ~200k miles on it and when I brought it cross country (from Oregon to Ohio, through the rockies) I averaged 22-28mpg. Of course that trip I had NO gas gauge so I was filling up every 300 miles. Now that I have it in Ohio and am driving it in city (before the trannies blew) I am averaging 15-18mpg. Since your citation is MPFI I will assume its an '85 and would believe your mileage would be about the same if not a little better.Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performanceComment
