Rod question

Did the rods change at all through the different Gen's? I want to put the 3400 pistons and top end on my RWD 3.4 (I know the problems, it's for a custom application anyway) and I thought they used the same rods, just different pistons. In another thread, someone mentioned you need the 3400 rods as well. Which is it?

no the 60 degree conecting rods are all the same. there is no change from the 2.8l to the 3400. im not sure about the new 3500 and 3900 though.
