Hi guys, these wires go to the MAP sensor but there is a vacuum hose also going to the fuel regulator.D oes the MAP sensor control the fuel pressure or does it just use the manifold vacuum?
Also,this is a 2000 3.4 intake I have on a 1991 3.1lt engine harness. Did the 91' have a MAP sensor?
Both engines have a MAP sensor, and the MAP reads vacuum, nothing more. The vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator changes the fuel pressure based on vacuum.
Thanks,I thought that's how it worked.now I need to find the MAP sensor connector on the engine harness.
this engine has been swapped into a Porsche 914 so I'm a bit over whelmed with some of this.
