Hey everyone,
Welp, my '87 jimmy w/ a 2.8 throttlebocrap has developed a strange imtermittent problem. When the problem is happening the belt sqeals quite loudly and the truck has beyond no power and you have to very rapidly and repeatedly pump the gas just to keep the damn thing running!! If you just pump the gas once it will surge like a carb accel pump dumping fuel then go back to pissin an sputtering! I have felt all the pulleys and none were even warm so I dont "think" any of the pumps or pulleys are going bad. Now, the truck will backfire a bit and sound a little raggity but then the exhaust has a known leak and is usually ignored. I am thinking of dumping some denatured achohall into the gas and see if that will clean the fuel system and injectors.
Any ideas anyone? I REALLY need the truck back in action so please any help.... well you get the idea.
Thanks in advance,
Jeremiah
Sorry for the bad typing but its late and I've had a bad day and at this point gammar isnt exactly high on my list of concerns.
