Power to weight?? TGP weights??

Im wondering how much do the TGPs weight?? This guy aorund here has one and I want to race him but he thinks he is going to win so he won't race.He said he has a chip and air filter and exhaust.I have not told him about my 3400. But i just wanted to know what would the GP putting down for power and how much they weigh. I think it would a be good race.

depends on the mods he has done, otherwise he kick your butt. TGP's got some power, and against a 3400 I don't know.

TGPs run somthing like 205 hp stock the weight of one also is about 3400 lbs IIRC
you should be able to own his ass if those are all the mods he has

If you run those times in your sig on street tires(and the TGP has street tires), then you'll most likely win in a 1/4 mile race. TGP's weigh somewhere around 3200(magazine quote)- 3300lbs. FWIW, TGP's with those mods should do anywhere from mid-high 14's(likely high 14's) w/ those mods mentioned. I ran a 14.705@91.94(at 1100' above sea level, street tires, full weight minus spare/jack) in my TGP w/ intake, chip, and muffler/cat replacement + stock exhaust piping. The intake I had at the time was setup in such a way that the filter was placed right near the front exhaust manifold...it looked good, but wasn't optimally setup for power(bought the car w/ that intake on there). Race him and let us know how it goes!

EDIT: BTW, what have you ran in the 1/8th? My 1/8th on that 14.7 run was 9.3@74mph...2.1XX 60'.

on a different night i did something diferent, i did with my best MPH i ran with no exhaust only my down pipe,and nothing else. it was really loud and i didn't think of it before i ran this way but i lost my shifting points because my power band changed so much but i tired to figure it out. i had mostly 14.7s but my MPH went up all around. my low end just sucked i could not launch at all that night. I finally launch around 3 grand which i would never have thought to be my best run.

But I don't have any real mods done to my car. I have all 2" pipes crush bend crap. and i did all these runs with 40psi in tires which is high.I just want to race him though, like i said i think it will be close. my car is around 2800~ with say 180hp~(stock 3400) and his should be 3200~ with around 215hp~with upgrades lets say. do the math........ i think its right

now PW he should have the upper hand but thats assuming thats our weight and power. but gearing plays a big part. so i might have the upper hand there. It will be close. im going to tell him what i have and see if he will race me then.

That is a sweet car, on second thought you will beat him... I haven't seen to many TGP's with your numbers.
