ok that would be cool. i had mine on with the glasspack as a resonator and it was loud cause theres basicly nothing to a glasspack. i tryed it when i had the cat back piep replaced but i was in my garage so you cant really tell how loud it really was.

For about 200 bucks, you can get Flowmaster 40s and a Flowmaster Hi-Flo cat. It makes one hell of a difference in performance. But keep all the piping, right out the back. Just my opinion..But ask Aaron, V6 on open exhaust sounds like shit! (Dock me 25 points.)

cool, im going to take a trip down to ramchargers to see if they have flowmaster equipment that i could buy. i noticed with open exhaust it really isnt any louder about 3000rpm, if i had flowmasters like you described would it make it louder during higher revs?

where exactly is the resonator on a 94 grand prix with the 3100? theres a large canister type thing coming off of the downpipe, i always thought that was the converter. please somebody correct me if im wrong.

I don't know about a 94 but mine was between the cat and the muffler. dude the car screams when you get on the gas. I'll try to get the clip done by tonite

well the sound clip doesn't do the car justice. I think it just be my $10 speakers. the first set of revs it went up to 4k rpms and the last set only went to 3k. email me if interested Bamboo3100@comcast.net

i got it all fixed up this weekend. i ended up using a set of cherry bombs because they were cheap. i know they wont last as long as more expensive ones but i dont plan on having this car forever. they sound nice, it was easier than i thought to install considering that this was my first welding ever.

CHERRY BOMBS KICK ASS ON A 3.1. Don't get rid of the cat, because it will actually hurt your performance, but i have 2.25 inch piping on my lumina, a high flow cat, and 2 cherry bombs, and it sounds bad ass. IT ALSO DID NOT MAKE MY CAR ANY SLOWER! it sounds awesome, and the gas mileage got better and performance did as well. it is very loud though, but who cares!

I have dual flowmater 40 series on my 3100, and I love it. I am useing stock 1992 3.1 MPFI dual exhaust tips, I have the smaller universal cat (2.25). I also have headers, and sitting at idle, it is really loud, and really low. The sound gets cleaner as you accelerate, but at 7000 RPM, it is REALLY screaming.

Here is a vid of my car. It was taken in the interior, and my car was not running it's best. It hits the rev limiter because I am using the 3.4 DOHC chip instead of my custom BEN SPECIAL chip, but you can get the general idea of what it sounds like.
