  • 3400 cam centerline

    Anyone know what the intake and exhaust centerlines are on the stock 3400 camshaft?

        Well if anyone finds me a cam I can measure it
        1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

                You need some sort of stand with a pointer. A degree wheel and a dial indicator to ride on the lobe.

                  just measure the angle between the intake and exhaust thats a good start

                    wouldn't that provide me the lobe seperation angle which is known to be 112°

                        I'm not quite sure how to measure centerlines otherwise I would.

                          if you are right about the 112 lobe seperation angle the intake centerline must be 123

                            I might have it on my cam card... which I have a scan of somewhere floating around the internet. I'll see what I can find.

                              Ok, here it is... Its for my regrind, but you should still be able to figure out the stock centerlines. They didn't (can't) change the lobe seperation, therefore the centerlines should be the same as stock.
