  • Need EGR Adapter info

I got a 92 Lumina and was thinking of swapping in a 3100. The 3100 is from a 95 buick and need more info about the EGR. I did a search but keep finding info on the 00-up or 3400 EGR adapter. Where do I find a adapter for a 95 3100 to use a 92 EGR? Or does someone have a picture of what it should look like?

Umm, there's nothing to make here....

'94 and '95 3100s use the digital EGR, which is the same EGR as your '92 3.1.... bolt it on and go.

I thought this to be correct but needed to make sure. The only thing I need to change is the injectors, downpipe, and drill in a CTS. Is that right?

            No, yes, and no.

Injectors shoudln't need to be changed, they are Multec1 and will run fine on the MPFI ECM.
Down pipe, yes, due to different exhaust manifold.
No, the '95 3100 head is drilled and tapped for the coolant sensor for the gauge, but even if it wasn't, there is a 3 wire coolant sensor avaialble, that is easier to install in place of teh 2 wire coolant sensor, for obvious reasons.

Ok with that said... What if I got a 99+ 3400? I know that needs to change injectors, and get the EGR adapter, but how do a get a 3.1 ECU to control a 3400. Who sells a chip for that?

youd just hook it up the same way you would for a 3X00 top end swap
use all the injectors and sensors off your 3.1
