knock sensor location on 94 3100?

can anyone tell me where the knock sensor on a 94 regal with a 3.1 is?? also , any info on easiest way to get at it? thanks

It will be on the back of the motor, a few inches below your rear exhaust manifold. The best way is from underneath on the 3.4 DOHC, but you might be able to get at it from above on your car. It should be liek a brass colored cylinder, 2" in diameter and about 1" thick. The connector is weird, squeeze the wide end of it together and pull and it will pop right off.

Aaron, why do you always answer questions that don't pertain to your engine? The KS on a 3100 is actually on the front side of the engine, just off of the oil filter (ie, more to the driver's side). Its a funky shape, almost like a mushroom, with a fat end (near the engine) and a skinny end (where the electrical connection is).

I was using common sense considering the block of the 3.4L DOHC and the 3100 is virtually identical except for bore sizes, oiling system, etc. But since the KS can be anywhere on a block, it leaves it open ended.
