Measuring lifter preload

I swear I saw a link on here describing the proper procedure for measuring lifter preload for the custom length pushrods required for the hybrid swap, but I cant for the life of me find that post anymore.

Does anyone have that link to the site with very detailed instructions on measuring the pushrods? If so please let me know. Or if anyone can post detailed instructions here that would be great. I know a fair bit about engines, but the more detail the better.
