    No, those are secondary sensors for the sequential fuel injection and not required to run the engine.

    The tach moves, so that means the CPS in the rear of the block is doing its thing feeding the ICM which is communicating with the PCM.

    It almost sounds like a lack of fuel the way it tries to fire but doesn't catch. Are the plugs wet? If not I would shoot some starting fluid in there and see if it kicks over better.

      That was the first thing I tries was starting fluid and didnt make any change.

      If i unplug the cps be hide the crank pulley it doesn't try to start

        my van did the same when the front crank pulley 24x cps went out, lost tach as well, something from the road wound it self behind the pulley and I actually had to straighten the tone wheel. try this test if you don't have access to a scope: http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/...crank-sensor-1

          I figured it out mine turned out to be the crank sensor in the block. The wire must have to be twisted the right amount, took the wire off my old 3.1 and it fired right up. But 100 miles later spun a bearing. So now gotta sell all the new parts. And start on the 3.8 S\C swap

            There is a spec on how many turns per foot but I can't seem to find it anywhere...
