One of the very very very few times I'll say it...

Healey green is more of a blue/green. It's an odd shade, but nice. Best of all is that the purists who hate to see modified cars will instantly recognize the color! lol!

ok, back to the important stuff....

Considering this is a RWD engine now, is the best bet the LX5 throttle body with an adaptor? Is WOT-Tech a good source for them?

Can it be set up for rear-pull?

The other option is to contact Marc at TCE & BCC and place a big order (need a timing chain trigger & dampener also), but I can't seem to get him to respond to emails. Plus, his website seems to be under construction. Does anyone know if he's still in business and how to reach him?

          Nice!

FWIW, I have a billet aluminum TB adapter as well as a TB. The TB is a fwd TB, not sure if its RWD convert-able PM if interest with offer. I am taking it off the plenum in about 2 weeks.

You can just use a long throttle cable that loops around. We used a 240sx cable in the MG Midget. It fit the LX5 throttle body perfectly with some slight filing (240 cable is slightly thicker).

For my 3100/3400 throttle body used on my L28 in my Datsun, I used a long throttle cable and bracket from a late '90's to mid '00's Buick, I wanna say LeSabre, but can't remember the exact model. The cable will be pretty obvious if you walk around a local wreckers, this cable comes out of the firewall and makes a large loop to the throttle body. I'll be using this same cable (and throttle body) for my 3500. I don't know for sure if this cable will work with the throttle body you plan to use, but I can't see why it wouldn't.

75mm LS1 throttle body on a TCE adapter plate. Had to turn it like that to get good angles for the throttle and TV cables.

Found an '88 Fiero timing cover and new water pump that should work...

Now I'll have to warm up the band saw and cut the top tab off, as well as clean that cover up a little. Unfortunately that will take a few weeks, since I'll have to wait until I visit a family member with the equipment.

Still working on the TB issue, and have a few possible solutions. There really are a lot of little issues involved with this FWD to RWD conversion, but they haven't been overwhelming... yet!

Looping the TB cable around isn't a huge deal, but if you insist on rear pull Id just pick up a 75mm LS1/LQ4/LQ9 TB and the adapter from britishcarconversions.com. It is probably overkill though.

you can cut that tab off with a hack saw, that's all I used... then a file to clean it up. took like 10 minutes.

My grandfather fired up the mill when I cut my tab off... Only because he insisted, my plan was to use a cut off disc on a grinder...

Don't worry; I'll get it whacked off! lol!

I don't have access to a welder at my house, so the trip to the family shop will give me access to all the tools needed to weld shut the hole in the timing cover, as well as cut the tab off neatly.

Raven, I had to laugh at your comment because my dad was a machinist when he was young & has machines all set up in his shop at home, and that's exactly the way he is! Takes him forever to get things done, but I have to admit, the stuff he builds is amazing.
