  • 3400 Cam Bearing Hold Orientation

Well, I need some insight. I removed the cam bearings from a 2005 3.4 due to coolant contamination. I did not carefully note the orientation of the oil pressure holes compared to the block. It would appear that the pressure hole in each cam bearing journal is at the 6 o clock position, so is the the correct orientation of the cam bearings? Oil port at 6 o clock position?

Does it not matter as much with the oil galley running almost 360 degrees around the cam bearings?

Repair manual says place them at 4 o'clock and the front one has or should have two holes, one at 6 and the other at 3.
