2.8 Fuel Pump Question

I've installed a fuel cell in my Jeep. There are three lines on the mechanical block pump, one to the carb, the feed line, and the third smaller line. Can it be capped off or do I need to run a return line to the cell? Thanks.

If it had a return I would use it. The best thing about it is it will prevent vapor lock from occurring. Depending on the pump design it may or may not be a requirement.
