    can someone tell me how much pressure a unregulated fuel pump make for a 02 3100 Malibu. thanks

    unregulated? so basically maximum pump pressure possible?
    1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

      yes, that is correct, max pressure fron a factory pump.

        You can find out by putting a gauge on it and clamping a rubber part of the return line. I would guess around 70PSI. But remember this will put a big load on the motor and possibly stall the pump so don't make it a common practice.

          Most fuel pumps I have "dead headed" as described above usually put out around 80-90psi, I believe there is a pressure relief built into the pump.

            i seem to remember reading something from GM stating around the 70 area before that valve is supposed to pop open....

            either way, the stock pump won't be putting out a whole lot of flow at that pressure.
