that's an old video did that last year iirc..that muffler is loud as shit and has been hanging on my wall since not long after i made that video..lol sounds good though

stuck the camera in the headrest. the hole in the middle perfectly fits the camera. the only thing with the quietflow is it's a single outlet so if your going for the fake dual style like my car has it will look weird..my little bit of not giving a shit i just went with the single outlet setup.

you can hear the edelbrock cackle in the car. don't remember if it popped or not. been awhile since i had that muffler on.

the mufflers are all v-banded so swapping them is easy. only thing i have to play with are hangers and those are easy too.

Mine is single outlet at the factory Z cutout in the bumper.

Here's a video of the Dynomax VT...I'll get a better one with the GoPro before I pull it off.

I thought you already had the Quietflow on...thanks for swapping it for a vid. Can't wait to hear it.
Yes, yes it is loud... LOL

It's similar to a Flowmaster 40 series, only a few curved baffles in it, no padding.

lol sound deflection technology my ass. it deflects all the sound out the pipe. still does sound good

That sounds good. I can't hear any crackle in the video...can you hear it in person? I think I'm gonna try one.

How long is that Magnaflow where the resonator would be? I may need to do that with mine too. I've got about 12" from the cat to the bend in the pipe before it goes over the axle, so there's not much room. And how big is the quiet flow you put on? I found one in offset/center 2.5" that I need that is 19" case. Most of em are 14" case so extra length should be better. (That's what she said.)

this mufflers pretty tame as far as the cackle goes. never really got on it when i had it out before since i was on my way to get it inspected with a expired sticker. lol it's not a bad muffler. it almost sounds stock when driving around normal style but as you can kinda tell in the video it get's loud when you get on it.

18" from flange to flange on the round muffler in the middle. i got this Walker Exhaust 21548 Muffler. came from summit off of ebay. there page says 16" case length. overall length is 20".

found a round magnaflow that's 12" end to end.. this should fit in your area.

i think the magnaflow might actually smooth out and remove the cackle when decelerating..i remember a little something when i had the edelbrock one on there. my newb ass didn't v-band the round magnaflow or the cutout so those take a few minutes longer to swap out. might try it with the cutout section in there and see if there's much of a difference versus having the magnaflow in there.

at about 1 minute in is about 1/2 mile away from where i had the camera sitting. notice how you can still here the car..lol this is with the edelbrock muffler.

That one you linked is a lot cheaper. I might try that instead of this one I found with the longer case: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-21856
Edit: just noticed it's offset/offset...that will be tougher to fit too because I already welded the pipe for offset/center location.

And I found a 12" glasspack that should be similar to the 4" Magnaflow for cheap.

Here's a video I just took of the truck. The guys on pro-touring.com seem to think I can take the cackle out with the tune...I dont think that will do it.

yeah i found the cheapest version of that quietflow muffler..lol try the glasspack it should provide the same effect as the magnaflow..same straight through design and i think with the magnaflow you are partly paying for the name.

i'll take a pic of the way it's mounted. kind of a cock eyed angle coming off of my main pipe. the offset of either end didn't really matter to me. i got it exiting in the right cutout in the bumper.

the video of your truck my car use to do the cackle like that before you pulled in your driveway. they are probably right on being able to tune that out. i haven't had the edelbrock on in awhile but i messed around with the tune a lot since then. i'll get another video with that on again in the coming weeks.

I don't think you'll eliminate that sound with a different muffler...
