Felpro 3400 "Problem Solver" gaskets

I did a LIM replacement and Dizzy Oring for a neighbor last night on a '02 Alero. This is the 2nd set of "Problem Solver" gaskets i've seen with distortion/failure around the intake ports. Anyone else seen this before?

That's the first issue I've seen with those gaskets. I've ran them ever since they came out yrs ago, never an issue. Even when pulling motors apart afterwards, was always clean.

Possible defect in the material maybe?

I've never seen it happen around the intake ports but it did happen to my engine around a coolant passage, I actually still have that old intake gasket if you'd like a picture of it.

I don't know weather or not that was caused by me re-assembling though, I know I've always had problems with those gaskets laying flush with the cylinder head..... have to tweak them at times to get them to lay flat
