  • Using Crane Gold Race Rockers on Gen 3's

Edit: Nevermind i found the thread

I remember reading about this on this forum but I couldnt' find the thread for it. I could have sworn that it was done on gen 3 heads but I dont' remember who did it.

if somone can point me to the link where this was done that would be great.

Or if someone knows off hand if you can use the Crane Gold race rockers on the 3400 gen 3 heads which originally came with the GM full roller rockers that would be great.

Can you use the gen 1 or gen 2 or even gen 3 rocker studs? Would I need to use pushrod guideplates as well?

I would really like to read the thread.

    Thanks people

    Shaun

No, rocker arm studs 100-7201. I don't have a price but someone like summit or jegs would be a quick place to get them.

Damn see I just checked the price on Jegs and Summit for the Crane studs that go with these gold race rockers. They are $23 for a set of 2. Thats right you get two for $23. So that means it will be like $150 to get all 12 of them. These are the Crane ones.

These ARP ones are the same as the crane and are this much cheaper? If so sounds like a bargain

Oh yea. THe Crane rockers I have, a few of the roller tips aren't rolling. I am sure they are supposed to roll. What can I do to get them unseized? Spray them with WD40? Soak them in some oil? Thanks

I have a set of the ARP rocker studs on my car, and they only cost me $60 Canadian. But it took 6 weeks to get them shipped in.
