why not? i've been doing that for over a year now. ALDL cable + flashing program = all of the hardware and software needed to play with them.

they're essentially 6 cylinder versions of the 94-95 LT1 PCM, with half the PROM space.

The problem I have with larger than stock injectors is its not tuned for them. You aren't going to peak the injectors with a ported manifold set.

I'd love to do the 97 Monte ECM and wire swap. The piggyback in my mind would be the best idea though. Money is the main problem. Time is something I have alot of at this point, which I hope will soon(looking for a job). Oh and tuining is something I know nothing about.

Feels like I'm just wasting everybodys time and my own.

Thanks Ben that is good news, sure don't want to lean out. So in other words I can use any stage I want, but power, driveablity and MPG's will be lost. Without a tune that is.
Are those 2000 heads the 10mm kind that you were looking for?

Just to give you an idea, I swapped in a 3400 in my car, with ported intakes and a 65mm tb and the street performance cam, in which I ran that setup on the stock 1994 computer. That was with the 19lbs injectors. Although best I could manage was 28mpg o the highway. Once I started getting it tuned, those 19lbs injectors quickly ran out and couldn't keep up.
