only HP difference would come from tuning if there was any... All the 3500's had the same internal parts.

The biggest difference between certain 3.5L's are the cranks. One's forged other is not, but finding that difference is not going to be known based on vehicle platform. You'll have to pull the H-balancer to find that answer.

                Very debatable subject right there.

What is it going into? Fiero? N-body?

Personally I'm going with a F40 because I like the uniqueness and the power it has held in others builds

Application? Drag race, Daily toy, Autox? that will change the answer...

I like my auto for at the strip, More consistent, and easier to run Nitrous with... My daily is a 5-speed though.

well if it's not a competitive drag car then I wouldn't worry about it and just get what you will enjoy driving. I hope to one day enter into some classes once I get my car settled and consistent with my spray, For a while I've just been trying to see how fast I can get it to go

The F23 5-speed is supposed to be pretty good.

00-02 cavalier or sunfire with the 2.2L OHV engine (for the correct bellhousing)
