  • Gen 1 aluminum heads. YES THEY EXIST!

Yes I am not lying. Picked up some gen 1 aluminum heads. What I mean is that these heads are cast like the gen 1 iron heads, but are made out of aluminum. I always thought that these existed somewhere but didnt' know where or how to find them.

Came across a guy cleaning out his garage and they were in there. I will say they are awesome. Guy said his buddy was a ex GM engineer and that they were made by(in conjunction with McClaren(sp?) for the fiero and other applications where the iron heads were used. I am guessing they didnt' end up going into production as gm decided to come out the gen 2 heads and intake so no longer needed these. I am pretty sure this pair is but just a few ever produced!!! These may be the only ones in existance today!

I will have pics to show in a day or two.

How do the combustion chambers and ports compare to the iron gen1 heads?

          HO version.

Rumor has it that these same heads were on a prototype test fiero back in 85. Its been documented that there was an all aluminum turbo fiero running around with "porsche eater" written on the back of it. Mid 5's to 60. Back in 85 this was impressive. Not even the vette was close to this. Vette was in the 7's

I will have more info on these heads within the next few days

I think this is the only set in existance

This is Shauns friend , the guy in the Pic holding the block. It's light as hell , Im weak (don't let the superman shirt fool you) and it weighs nothng.

Everything is going to be forsale. That intake manifold is probably the only one in existence. The heads have no casting Numbners ont hem . On the ends it says KS-1 and KS-2. They only could have come from 2 Places. They were either cast by Mclaren for the turbo Fiero project , or made by Don Yenko for the Yenko Citations in the early 80's.

The Block Differs from Shauns aluminum block considerably in that the cylinder liners are "wet" , the lifter gallery is bolt in...

Ohhh baby..we hit the mother load. The heads are worth more than the block!!!
