Avg 3400/3500 hybrid engine oil temp?

I installed a temp sensor in a thermostatic oil filer plate, what should it be?

I might drill and tap the pan and put it there, what should the temp stay around there as well?

And would it be bad to drill and tap the pan?

Average running temp should get to 190*F minimum. 230*F is still ok for engine operation. The max temp is 270*F but there should be a very good reason for getting the oil that hot. Racing would be one if them. But in any case a cooler should be used is that situation.
