  • LIM+UIM swap

i'm curious, as i had compaired the gaskets once, but my memory is fuzzy, i have to do the LIMG's on a good friends car, its got the GEN II 3100 finned intake, so do the lower intake ports line up (heads) with gen III 3x00 LIM+UIM? in lame terms, can i swap a LIM from a 00+ GEN III motor, on 99-Pre GEN II heads to take advantage of the larger runners and ports ext. Trying to frankinstien a motor for fuel economy purpouses

    Its runs!!!>>>Aint No 60* Sound Like Mehttp://youtu.be/YKEmNwa141U

Yes, it can be done!!! If you look in the "store" there is something written about it..... As I remember they said it was a good upgrade and worth it... Of course, a complete Gen lll top end swap would be tits!!! I looked into this swap myself awhile ago...
    Good luck,,,,

the 93-99 3100 SFI intake is still gen 3, but the difference in ports is ridiculous.

gen 2 is the aluminum headed LH0/LB6 (aka 2.8/3.1 MPFI).

well thanks for clearing that all up. Now, we clocked in with 24 MPG, lets see what we get after lol, my best with a 3100 96 was in a beretta and 34MPG highway. this is a 1996 GP, with a blown transmission lol
