  • Oil Pan Question

I'm putting a 1991 3.1 Isuzu engine into a street rod. I have discovered that this is kinda a red haired step child motor that GM let Isuzu use. I'm wondering what other vehicles use the same oil pan configuration, i.e. same bolt pattern on the pan. I'm looking for the shallowest pan i can find do to the fact that on my track roadster, the engine sits quite fat back from the front axle and is mounted pretty low in the chassis.
    Any help would be appreciated.

A Camaro or S-10 2WD both have much shallower pans and will bolt right in. Remember you need to buy the corresponding pickup tube. If you use a Camaro 3.1L or 3.4L pan it will have the correct 3/4" pickup. The S-10 will not. Melling sells them if you cannot get your hands on one.

Track roadsters are cool. I have been looking for someone in my area, to sponsor, who is building one and willing to use a 3500.
