    put a northstar in it

a 3400 can be a bit of work in a fiero with computer issues. the 3400 uses dis ignition, were the fiero uses a distributor. you could put fiero heads and up on the 3400, but it seems like a lot of work. what you could do is get a 3.4l from a camaro and drop it in. you will need to put the fiero intake on and use the distributor though.

Cheaply..he said...prob less than what the car is worth. So unless you buy a 3400 powerd car at the Auction for less than 600...you'll be looking at 500 for the motor and another 200 for everything else like ecm and wiring.

The 3.1 is posibly the cheapest way. Those came in the Lumina/Pontiac vans. The 3.4 camaro engine will work with some costom engine brakets and tapping for the starter location.

Then...stepping away from the 60dv6...the Caddy 4100, 4500. But might as well get a 3400.

i was kidding with the northstar swap.

they make kits to swap just about anything into a fiero. you could go with a 3800 or 3800 supercharged, small block chevy, you name it. check out the engine swap stuff on the main page.

I've got one i'll give you. It's in an 89 sonoma. no cracks and it runs right now. Of course this is a u-pull-it deal.

I know the tranny, engine mounts(i thinck, this is a truck engine) and heads of an 86 should bolt up to the 89 engine, but the water pump, brakets and oil pan won't.

I had 3 2.8s in the garge but i already gave them away.
