  • Air/fuel/volt meter install?

I've never installed one picked one up cheap and really wanted the "volt" meter so i figured ill hook up both but i need some help:
    1. what wires are for what?
    2. where do i tap into to get the air/fuel?
    3. where is the best spot to hook up th volt meter part?

this is all on a 2001 impala 3400

thanks in advance for your help!!!!

For the volt meter, tap any pink/blk wire you find in the car. You'll likely find it under the dash on the driver side.

Is the air fuel a narrowband?

sounds like you have the base cluster.

there is a purple wire that connects to pin A8 on the instrument cluster, that's a +12V wire that gets switched on with the key(and actually supplies power for the cluster), and should be a good source for a voltage reading. it is fused by the PCM/BCM/Cluster fuse as shown here.
