3900 front cover swap??

Im thinking about getting one of these motors as my next motor along with the F40 6sp. Does anyone know if you can use the standard front cover off a non vvt 3X00 motor when you plan on eliminating the VVT and its components?? I'd also like to stick to the layout of the accessories thats on my LG8 for simplisity. Thanks for any input..

The LZ engines have a cast aluminum coolant system mounted to the front of the heads and the coolant pump mounted lower to clear that casting which is also mounts the PS and ALT. Although the older front cover will bolt to the block, it will not clear the coolant return system and without the casting, there is no way to complete the cooling system.
