Have a 3.1 1995 FWD, L82. Is there a year model that has a solid (not hollow like the stock cam) that will fit my roller lifter block? Have a local cam grinder that will do a mild upgrade to a stock cam as long as it is solid, and his price is right. Great information here, just can't find this answer. Larry

They do have some nice offerings. I am still curious if there is an OEM solid cam for the 3.1 roller lifter engine or if one of the later engines has a better performing cam stock in it. For what ever reason the regrinder will not regrind the hollow cams. Larry

all the gen 3 engines have the same hollow cam with the same specs. The ring for the camshaft position sensor changed over the years but the rest stayed the same.
you can buy a stock aftermarket solid cam fairly cheap and have it ground to whatever you want, that's all mine is. Keep in mind that if the base circle changes too much you'll have to measure for longer pushrods. The one that Betterthanyou linked is the exact one i used.
I don't know what your grinder is charging but the ones that wot-tech sells for a little over $300 are a great deal and you can get whatever specs you want, you aren't limited by the stock profile.
