Yes, I know. But, the only difference between it and the 3400 is the displacement, the letters on the plenum, and the TB size. Otherwise, they are identical engines.

according to what I've been told..I don't know though. Everything will fit directly give or take manifolds and torque strut mounts, etc. I just wondered due to the fact of emissions stuff. I mean the L82 between 95 and 96 does have variances in EGR valves, etc. I just didn't know if they'd work. I searched motorswap and found nothing on
      L82 to LG8 just L82 to L67
I would however venture as far as to pick up a 3400 Throttle body for the LG8. I just feel this is too good of a deal to pass up. I will keep everyone posted on the progress and what's happening.

There are a couple variations of EGR styles. There is top mount and side mount. I'm not sure which fits on what vehicle configuration, but it should be easy enough to gather what you need to make things work. Besides, if you got a complete engine (exhaust/intake mani's ect) it should all be there and all you would need to do is plug and play.

okay everyone. Here is the verdict. The last 2 valves don't open. So it is the camshaft. I assume what I will do is try to buy a new engine. Well...I guess I will see what happens.

I finally got in contact with this guy. He has an LG8, I plan to purchase and use. I go to school with a former GM Technician. He seems to think internally it'd be fine, cost wise though he'd change engines so..I'll keep everyone up to date.

              Cost of an R&R Motor?

Around $300.00 (Not Bad...Not Bad at All!)

              Cost of this Diagnostic Discovery?

              Priceless...
